It is mental Health awareness day and I wanted to reshare a little monologue I did on depression.
Having suffered with depression on/off for over 15 years I have a little insight into the struggles faced every day. The fact is more and more people are suffering with some form of mental health, and many just stay quiet, through fear of stigma, not really knowing what is going on with them, or feeling unable to talk to anyone. In this day and age I think it is about time we start talking more openly about mental health, by doing this we may change others attitudes and hopefully change someone's life for the better.
If anyone you know seems different, simply ask how they are, let them know you are open to listening without pushing them. It can make a huge difference!
